Scoured the city for places to take pictures tonight for my blog and came across this beautiful building. It resembled an old church but it was actually a community college. Beautiful, nonetheless. We raced against time to take pictures during daylight and we were just barely successful.

I've been wearing a lot of neutrals lately. I think this autumn I will be giving into the edgy side of my style. Playing a lot with my style too. I suppose it has a lot to do with growing my hair out. I have to sit on my hands as to not cut it all off again, so instead of changing my hair, I will be playing with my clothes. Autumn is the greatest time to do this as I am so inspired this time of year. How about you guys?

Happy Monday, everyone!

Feeling Witchy

I haven't had much time to post but I'm working on it. Today I went on an adventure in Downtown Louisville with my parents and we found some time to take pictures. The weather as been quite fickle here so my outfits have been kind of confusing. Hats, boots, and MAH-jor accessories have been pulling together the contrast of my outfits.

Cropped Top- Forever 21; Leggings- Mossimo; Cowboy Boots- Vintage; Wide-Brimmed Hat- Target; Ring- Thrifted; Bag- American Tourister

So excited for Autumn! The more I think about sweaters, boots, pumpkin -carving, candy, and the changing leaves, the more my excitement grows! Hope ya'll are just as excited!

Sittin' on the dock of the bay..

My best friend in the WHOLE WORLD is in Louisville this weekend, so naturally I got suckered her into taking my blog pics by using the excuse "You have got to see the Louisville waterfront.." But really, it was her idea. I suppose I should find more time to post to appease my unhappy and impatient readers. ;)

Top: spandex scarf fashioned into bandeau; Skirt: Vintage; Gold Necklace: Vintage; Sunglasses: Vintage; Faux-Snakeskin Wedges: Franco Sarto; Clutch: American Tourister; (Sheena's) Ring: Thrifted

Hope everyone in the Midwest is staying cool in the heat and humidity. It's darn-near impossible. Bachelorette party tonight for Sheena's friend. Hopefully I'll get to snap a few photos to share. OH!  Also, check out my new Rihanna-inspired haircut. It seemed so drastic originally but now I'm thinking it's a lot less of a mohawk than I had imagined. Oh well, suits me better. Enjoy your weekends Munchkins!

Blister in the sun.

It has been so hot here in Kentucky. A heat index of 110 degrees on average can make a girl (and her wardrobe) dumbfounded. So, I have had to be a little creative to avoid sweat puddles while also avoiding being scandalous. Alas, My array of jumpsuits have saved my life.

Hair.

The stress of growing my hair out has been weighing on me lately. I know this, mostly because I have been having nightmares involving my hair.

The growing-out process has always been an unsuccessful one for me. I am all about it for 6 months, taking vitamins, avoiding straighteners and then it reaches below my chin and an animal urge to chop it forces me to start again from point A. So, that being said, while I do want to try to grow my locks out, I am taking a different approach this time. This time, I am going to experiment with every and any kind of haircut I can think of or have ever wanted. I'm hoping this will not only make the process more fun, but provide me with an easy excuse for healthy ends. Here, are just a few of my inspirations.

and alas, the one that all my friends at work joke about me currently having...

But hey, can't complain, the Biebs has some nice hair.

4th Street.

My parents and I went out to Fourth Street Live a couple nights ago in downtown Louisville. It's a lot of fun. It's simply a pedestrian street in the heart of downtown littered with bars and restaurants and clubs. Here is what I wore.
Necklace- Target; Skinnies- Converse, Denim Shirt- At Last; Shoulder Bag- Mulberry

Not too many chances to take photos, mostly because we were...AT A BAR...DOING WHAT YOU DO AT A BAR...and therefore not able to successfully take photos. :)

Enjoy your weekend, homies!
